Injection Moulding Setter

As an Injection Moulding Setter, you must have several years’ experience with setting, conditioning, maintenance & process optimisation of injection moulding machines working with a wide range of materials.

Reporting to the Shift Team Leader, the role of an Injection Moulding Setter is to be responsible for the safe and effective operation of Mouldshop equipment and the production of moulded components to the required standard.

The role of an Injection Moulding Setter is to fulfil all aspects of machinery tool changes, from hanging the tool and securing the tool in the machine through to the use of programming software and setting up the robots to provide the optimum cycle time.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years Setting experience
• Minimum of Level 2 Qualification in polymer processing and injection moulding or equivalent
• Documenting and using setting sheets
• Good knowledge of various engineering polymers
• An understanding of the factory equipment, environment and processes
• Calculation of product requirements
• Health and Safety competence
• Manual Handling competence
• Familiarity and competent in reading technical drawing
• Relevant in-house or technical training qualification
• Understanding of SMED
