Logistics Operative

We are looking for two Logistics Operators to join the Nordell team. Your roles will be to pick, pack and dispatch or kit orders dependent on what area of the business the operative is currently based, to take responsibility for your own health, safety and welfare, being conversant and ensuring compliance with the organizations policies and procedures. And to undertake all reasonable training, learning and development activity designed to support you in your role. To be responsible for your own behaviour and act in a manner that avoids and discourages any form of discrimination or harassment. To be responsible for the activities required to support the organizations Quality Policy.


Main Duties

  • Responsible for the accurate fulfilment of customer orders or kitting requirements dependent on the department currently based, this includes but not limited to accurate picking of parts paying careful attention to lot /serial control and quantities.
  • Always maintain a clean and clear workstation.
  • Work in a manner that promotes a good workplace environment for all staff, including health and safety and customer relations.
  • Be aware and adhere to manual handling practices.
  • General housekeeping duties, this includes product placement, recycling and filing, a requirement to clean as you go to reduce risk of harm or injury.
  • To carry out work in relation to company Standard Operating Procedures including time scales and quality.
  • Manual and mechanical loading / unloading of vehicles.
  • Ensure stock is located accurately and in line with the company ERP procedures.
  • All enquiries handled professionally and accurately.
  • Ensure all works orders are kitted 24 hours in advance.
  • Create MRO Works orders for tool insert changes.
  • To complete any other reasonable tasks as required by Nordell in relation to the needs of the business.


  • A courteous and respectful manor to any persons that may interact with the company (Nordell) to not cause distress or harm.
  • Positive attitude and approach to role and the business.
  • Picking and packing experience.
  • Computer literate.
  • The ability to work in a team or independently.
  • Be capable of understanding and following basic instructions.
  • Fork Licence Counterbalance / reach.
