Reporting to: Head of Operations


Nordell is one of the UK's leading plastics manufacturing and design refinement companies. We have been established for over 50 years and employ over 150 people at our Worthing based site.

We are looking for an experienced and driven Mouldshop Manager to join our team.


The Mouldshop Manager is responsible for all operations of the Nordell Mouldshop, managing all people and processes to meet quality and customer requirements, across all shifts.

Main Duties

  • Sole responsibility for all Mouldshop processes and equipment
  • Co-ordinate all Mouldshop Production activities and operations
  • Responsibility for all Mouldshop team members
  • Liaise effectively with other departments.
  • Working within set budgets
  • Enforcing Health and Safety regulations, ensuring they are met and maintained.
  • Responsible for relaying, implementing, and maintaining Quality standards set by the Quality department.
  • Devise, implement and maintain Nordell Best Practice
  • Responsible for the effective use of the company ERP system within the Mouldshop department
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers of Nordell.
  • Achievement and implementation of Mouldshop management objectives


  • Management Qualification or relevant experience of 3+years within industry
  • Knowledge of ERP systems
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Problem solving, time management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent IT skills
  • An understanding of the factory equipment, environment, and processes
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to cope with change within a busy working environment
  • Strong positive character to motivate others
  • Health and Safety competence
  • Understand process optimisation, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and SMED.
  • Able to effectively train others.
