Delivering customer requirements for over 20 years, Seb heads up our day to day operational team ensuring customer delivery requirements are met, works orders and sales orders are systematically managed and processed expediently through all areas of the business through to customer receipt. Seb is driven by customer satisfaction of our service levels.
I have worked in the plastics industry for over 26 years.
I previously worked in the car industry.
What I love about my job is that I am able to make a difference to help provide a quality part to our customers on time. I also love working with and alongside our younger managers as a mentor to give them help, support and guidance as they start out on their careers.
My proudest achievement is my promotion to Nordell Service Manager.
One of the biggest changes since I started many moons ago is IT – Business System ERP, etc. When I started, we completed all our tasks by handwritten cards, but now we couldn't manage without our manufacturing ERP system, which is so advanced and has greatly improved the way the business functions.
No two days are the same for me. When I arrive in the morning, I liaise with the night-shift. Then, 9'clock on the dot every morning, it is time for our team meeting. We place and discuss obstacles and ensure everyone is on the same page for the day ahead. The rest of my day is working on solutions and working with customers, suppliers and the team.
We care about our staff and customers. We take great pride in what we do. Nordell gives opportunities to its staff to give them the opportunity to build their careers. We are constantly making improvements, which makes us the best in what we do.
I was born in Shoreham but grew up in Worthing.
1) I like playing pool and snooker.
2) I love spending time with my grandchildren, but I always need a rest after they have gone home!
