PPAP Quality

At Nordell, we take immense pride in our commitment to quality and precision.

Our Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) is an embodiment of this dedication, ensuring that every product we deliver meets the highest industry standards and exceeds our clients' expectations.

Initially, PPAP was utilised by the automotive and aerospace industries.

PPAP is now being used by several industries to improve communication and provide quality products.

And it has become an integral part of our quality assurance process.

What is PPAP?

The Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) is a rigorous procedure that validates and approves the manufacturing process of a product before it goes into full-scale production.

At Nordell, it's a collaborative effort between our skilled engineers, suppliers, and customers to ensure that the end product aligns with design specifications and quality requirements.

The PPAP process consists of 18 elements that may be required for approval of production level parts.

Not all of the elements are required for every submission. There are five generally accepted PPAP submission levels.

These provide the evidence that the supplier has met or exceeded the customer’s quality requirements and the process is capable of consistently reproducing quality parts.

Nordell’s PPAP Quality Journey

These are the processes our team follows to help ensure that the end products meet our client’s quality expectations:

  • Preparation: Our team collaborates with customers to gather all necessary design data, specifications, and part requirements.
A thorough analysis is conducted to ensure feasibility and manufacturability.
  • Documentation: All relevant documents, such as design records, process flow charts, and control plans, are meticulously prepared and compiled.
  • Prototyping: Trial samples are moulded and subjected to rigorous testing to validate functionality and performance.
  • Evaluation: The sample’s dimensions, materials, and characteristics are scrutinized against the established standards. Statistical analysis ensures consistency and reliability.
  • Testing and Validation: Comprehensive testing is performed, encompassing various aspects like functionality, durability, and safety. Any deviations are identified and addressed to ensure the final product is flawless.
  • Final Approval: Once all parameters are met and validated, the product is submitted for final approval. Our team, along with customers, reviews and approves the PPAP submission.

The Nordell Advantage

So, what is it that we do differently from our competitors?

We like to think of it as the ‘Nordell Advantage’.

At Nordell, our Production Part Approval Process is more than just a series of steps—it's a journey towards excellence.

It's a reflection of our commitment to engineering mastery, quality assurance, and client satisfaction.

With every PPAP approval, we uphold our promise to deliver products that don't just meet expectations but exceed them.
